JUDITH ANN “JUDY VALENTINE” SHARER, 70, of 13914 Spickler Road, Clear Spring, Maryland, died on Monday, July 26, 2010 at her home.
Born January 28, 1940 in Hagerstown, Md. she was the daughter of the late Raymond Cecil Valentine and Iva Rene Shry Valentine Smith.
She was a member of Red Feather Council #59.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Sharer; two sons, Kenneth L. Sharer and wife Cynthia of Falling Waters, W. Va. and Brian Dietrich of Hagerstown; two step daughters, Robin Poffenberger of Smithsburg and Carolyn Muller of Williamsport; a sister, Janet Jones of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Breen Dietrich, Ashley Sharer and Lexi Sharer; her step-father, Robert L. Smith of Hagerstown and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald P. Dietrich, II and two brothers, Raymond Valentine and Joseph Valentine.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
