RICKY LEE MYERS, SR., 56, of Clear Spring, Md., went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2010, after a 3 ½ year courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 28, 1954 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of George Washington and Shirley Ann Wishard Myers of Clear Spring.
He was a 1972 graduate of Clear Spring High School.
He was retired from Leroy Myers, Inc. after 35 years and was well renowned for his masonry and carpentry craftsmanship.
He was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church and was a former church council member.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jeanne Lou Sutton Myers; a daughter, Robin Ashley Myers of Clear Spring and fiancée Justin
Neikirk of Williamsport; and a son, Ricky Lee Myers, Jr. and wife Lauren Milke Myers of Big Pool. Md.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Sue Myers.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. Rev. Dale R. Carver will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Clear Spring, Md.
The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
