DOROTHY (DOTTIE) MAE FISHACK, 83, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1930, in Cearfoss, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Minerva I. Householder Cosgrove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Riley Fishack, on May 24, 1984.
Dorothy retired from Marshall Street School after twenty-five years of service.
She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville, MD for fifty-eight years, a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club.
Dottie is survived by four daughters, Yvonne Lusk of Chariton, Iowa, Teresa Magaha of Hagerstown, MD., Deborah Munson and husband, Michael of Smithsburg, MD, and Georgia Plum of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister, Pearl Cosgrove Heffner; 8 grandchildren, Tammara Adams, Cassandra LaPole, Sharie Wallech, Shawn Magaha, Destiney Munson, Bryan Munson, Brooke Plum and Alana Plum; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas G. Plum; three sisters, Pauline Pryor, Mary Powell and Bessie Smith; seven brothers,
Harry Cosgrove, Charles Cosgrove, Harold Cosgrove, James Cosgrove, Paul Cosgrove, Earl Cosgrove and John Cosgrove.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Linda Warehime will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Chewsville, MD 21721.
